What is lifestyle photography?
Lifestyle photography is a style of photography that aims to capture unposed, everyday moments. For example, you may have seen newborn photography where the baby is placed into baskets or positioned and posed in front of the camera. This is not what lifestyle photography is about. As a natural light photographer, I use the lifestyle photography style to capture your heart warming family moments, as and when they happen. I may guide you to achieve certain shots but it is my aim to capture life as it really is, to document the little moments and create images that encapsulate those memories forever.
What happens during a lifestyle photography session?
My sessions are relaxed, informal and most importantly fun. Location shoots usually last between 1.5-2 hrs depending on how far we need to walk to find those memorable spots. I’m a Swansea based photographer and can recommend several stunning locations where we will be able to capture breathtaking natural light photographs for you to cherish.
At Home sessions tend to be a little quicker - unless we have lots of furniture to move!
I aim to mainly capture natural, unposed moments during our sessions but I might need to prompt and guide you to get certain shots.
What should I wear for a lifestyle photoshoot?
Once I have received your deposit for your session you will receive my style guide, this will tell you everything you need to know about what to wear for your session.
What if I’ve booked an Outdoor session and the weather is awful?
Don’t worry, if your deposit has been paid we can move the date until we get a nice day, we don’t always need the sun- just for it to be dry. As a studio without limits, sometimes the weather will try to scupper our plans! However, the magic of photography means that even when the sun isn’t shining, it is still possible to capture photographs you will love.
What is lifestyle brand photography?
As well as providing family lifestyle photography, mum-to-be photography and newborn natural photography sessions, I am also experienced in lifestyle branding photography. Whether you are just starting your business or want to give your website and social media a more polished look with some professional photographs, a lifestyle branding photography shoot can give you the opportunity to show your customers and clients who you really are. I can capture you in your workplace, photograph your products and I can take natural light headshots that will show everyone the face behind your brand.
When will I get my photos?
You will receive a link to your gallery for you to download your images 5 working days after your final balance has been paid.
Do you share my images on social media?
Yes - if it’s ok with you. If you do not want the images from your lifestyle photography session to be shared online, please discuss this with me on the day.
